The **Logbook** menu in VaultSpeed provides a **technical log** of system activities, capturing key actions triggered by user interactions and background processes.

#### **Logging Behavior**

- By **default, the logbook is empty** and does not record any actions.
- Logging is only activated when the **system-level parameter** `GENERATE_LOGGING = Y`.

> ⚠️ **Important:** Enabling this setting can **significantly impact performance**, as it generates a high volume of log entries.

#### **Purpose & Usage**

The **logbook** is primarily intended for **VaultSpeed technicians** to troubleshoot errors by tracking **exact timestamps and locations** of system events. It is recommended to enable logging only when necessary for debugging.
