VaultSpeed has several components. Each component has an entry on the navigation menu on the left side of the screen. Navigate between them using the menu icons on the left. Expand the menu by clicking the three lines in the top-left corner, or collapse using the X.

Every page has a few standard elements:

- **The main menu bar at the top left**:
  - In the top-left corner, you can use the **Main Menu** to navigate between the application’s screens.
  - Next, you have the **Breadcrumbs,** which you can use as you navigate deeper into the application's screens. The application is configured to move you through these screens from left to right by default. Whenever you are in one of those deeper menus, the **Back button** moves you back to the previous screen.
- The main menu bar at the top right

  - The first is a selector to define in which project you want to work.
  - Next is an icon to **report an issue **to our service desk. This will link you to our support channel, where you can log incidents. - You can always **ask the Community** if you have a general question on how to do something in the application. We have a free-to-join community where all users can interact. Go to [https://community.vaultspeed.com](https://community.vaultspeed.com) and create your account and start interacting with other VaultSpeed professionals.
  - You can also set your personal **preferences** for how the application looks. More information about our color themes and other options can be found [here](https://vaultspeed.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PPD/pages/3128852672):
  - The next is the entry point for Speeder. A chatbot that will help you with your questions around VaultSpeed and your implementations. Check out the details on Speeder [here](https://vaultspeed.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/VPD/pages/5006065679).
  - And a button to inspect the account that is logged in.
You can **Logout** of the tool, or inspect the details of your privileges. This also indicates on which account you are logged in for the moment.

## Themes

Personalize your VaultSpeed experience by selecting one of the available themes:

- **VaultSpeed Light**: A modern, bright theme for better visibility in well-lit environments.
- **VaultSpeed Dark**: A sleek, dark theme optimized for low-light conditions and reduced eye strain.
- **VaultSpeed Classic**: The familiar design from previous versions of VaultSpeed.

To change the theme, navigate to the **Preferences** window and select your preferred option. The theme is applied immediately upon selection.

## Page Size

Set the default number of items displayed per page for tables and lists, such as sources or releases.

- Navigate to the **Preferences** window.
- Use the **Page Size** dropdown to select the number of rows you want to display per page (e.g., 10, 25, 50).
This setting improves navigation efficiency when working with large datasets.

## Task overview

- On the bottom right is the **Running** **Tasks Icon** (round button), which opens the Running tasks bar. Tasks are created for specific processes that can take a while, such as creating a source release and building a Data Vault. This ensures that you are not blocked and can continue working on something else, such as configuring a source while the release for another source is being built.
Tasks are also used to trigger actions in the VaultSpeed Agent, such as reading source metadata, deploying the generated code, transferring files to or from VaultSpeed, etc.

- Most pages also have, after their title, a link to our documentation pages: [https://docs.vaultspeed.com](https://docs.vaultspeed.com). Clicking on the icon will guide you automatically to the correct documentation page about the screen where you are on at that moment.
