VaultSpeed is the Enterprise Data Automation platform that empowers data teams to create a trusted data foundation for AI. Vaultspeed's platform goes beyond SQL generation, combining data model-driven design with active metadata to automate the full lifecycle from modeling and integration to deployment and governance. With specific Data Vault 2.0 delta-based code generation, VaultSpeed delivers incremental change without reprocessing, reducing costs while enabling CI/CD. The result is agile automation that eliminates manual scripting, enforces enterprise rules such as complex CDC patterns, late-arriving data, and referential integrity, and ensures that governed, AI-ready data pipelines run consistently across dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, and Microsoft Fabric.

The VaultSpeed application is divided into several modules, each of which has its own functionality. The following sections provide an overview of the VaultSpeed application layout.

### [Agent Installation](http://vaultspeed.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/VPD/pages/3011084322/Agent+Installation)

The VaultSpeed Agent is a secure, lightweight runtime component that runs in your environment—on-premises or in the cloud—and serves as the bridge between the VaultSpeed SaaS application and your data platform. Instead of sending business data to VaultSpeed, you only share metadata.

VaultSpeed then uses this metadata to generate production-ready ELT and orchestration code, which is delivered back to the Agent for execution near your data, fully within your security perimeter. All communication between the Agent and VaultSpeed is outbound and encrypted, and credentials for your source and target systems are managed solely within your environment, ensuring that VaultSpeed integrates with your existing security, governance, and technology stack without expanding your attack surface.
