The **Remove Object Name Patterns** screen allows you to remove a Pattern from Object Names.

In this screen, use the button ‘+ Remove Pattern' to add a pattern which will be removed from the names of all objects in this source.  As a result, the object name without the pattern will be used throughout the DataVault generation. Example: a source table 'moto_parts' will be treated as object 'parts'.

These patterns should be EXACT, meaning that they should include possible underscore or other characters that are part of the pattern.  This because the patterns could also be removed from the middle of an object name.

After adding the remove pattern, an automated impact check is be done. The number of objects that are involved will be shown:

You can always edit, remove or re-check the impact using the ‘Actions’ menu.
